Going With the Flow - Don't Get Caught Up

A lot of people have a kind of go with the flow attitude. In fact, many people think that this is the kind of attitude that you should have. But, that is not always the case. Imagine going with the flow if everyone else was heading for destruction. That would probably not be the wisest thing to do, would it?

Or, think about how many people went with the flow in the current financial crisis. So many people were buying homes, the price kept shooting up. And more and more people went with the flow and kept buying and kept paying inflated values. And then the bubble burst. And the people who just went with the flow were the ones who were buying at the height of the bubble and paying the most inflated prices possible. And what happened?

They became the people who lost the most when the prices came down. And who profited? The people who started the flow. The people who made money in the beginning of the bubble. All this points to the fact that you cannot just blindly go with the flow.

CHART YOUR OWN COURSE...

Instead of going with the flow, chart your own course and control your destiny. After all, you are the one who is going to have to live with the results. Don't get caught up in thinking that you just have to follow what everyone else is doing. Do your own thing and you will profit the most. And that is for life in general, not just making dollars.
